At our farm, we combine agricultural engineering with a passion for turf.
Since 2007, we have been cultivating turf tailored to Romania’s climate, using certified seeds and a proprietary blend refined over time
We built our farm step by step, grounded in solid agronomic expertise and direct involvement in every stage of production. We work with dedication and discipline, closely monitoring our turf’s performance and evolution.
Today, we manage 20 hectares of optimized turf, designed to meet the exacting standards of landscapers, developers, and architects, while fulfilling the real expectations of the end client.

**THE IDEAL TURF FOR SOUTHERN ROMANIA**
We have selected the finest species and varieties, removing perennial ryegrass (Lolium perenne) from the classic Watersaver blend. The result is a turf tested and adapted over 19 years, making it the most suitable choice for Southern Romania. “Festuca arundinacea” develops a very deep root system with fine leaf texture and enhanced tolerance to drought and heat, while “Poa pratensis” ensures horizontal growth and excellent regeneration.

We use our own mix of premium Barenbrug (Netherlands) seeds, such as Festuca arundinacea, which develops deep roots of up to 60 cm, guaranteeing an intense green even during the sweltering summers of Bucharest, Ilfov, or Giurgiu.
Do you provide home delivery for the turf rolls?
Our farm focuses exclusively on producing high-standard turf at our location in Greaca, Giurgiu. Although we do not offer direct transport with our own fleet, we collaborate closely with reliable logistics partners. Upon request, we can recommend specialized carriers who are familiar with our procedures and can deliver fresh rolls, in optimal conditions, directly to your project.
What is the minimum order for turf rolls at producer prices?
The minimum order at Grass Farm is 50 sqm. The price per square meter varies depending on the total quantity requested and the chosen type of turf (Drought, Sport Special, or Sport). For large projects or B2B partnerships, we offer personalized quotes. We recommend requesting an offer through the form on our website for an exact calculation.
How quickly should the turf rolls be installed after harvesting?
Our turf is harvested only upon order to ensure maximum freshness. As a living product, we recommend installing it within a maximum of 24 hours from delivery. Thanks to its adaptation to the local climate, Grass Farm turf has an excellent root-taking rate if the soil has been prepared according to our recommendations.
How soon can I use the yard after installing the turf rolls?
Unlike seeding, where the wait lasts for months, sod offers an instantaneous visual effect. However, we recommend a resting period of 10-14 days (without heavy traffic or pets) to allow the roots to establish themselves in the new soil. After this period and the first mowing, you can fully enjoy your lawn.
Does this turf hold up if I have dogs or children playing on it?
Yes, our varieties (especially the Sport Special and Drought mixes) are selected for high density and rapid regeneration capacity. The mix of Festuca arundinacea and Poa pratensis creates an elastic structure, resistant to heavy traffic, making it ideal for active families who want a functional yard, not just a decorative one.
Is sod more cost-effective than traditional seeding?
While the initial investment is higher, sod eliminates the risks of failure (seeds taken by birds or wind, invasive weeds, or excessive irrigation for months).
